Sections of the German Department and Organisation

The German Department at Leibniz University Hannover is divided into two sections: Literature Section and Linguistics Section.

The Seminar’s faculty consists of nine professors and approximately thirty teaching and research staff members. They are supplemented by four seconded faculty members, numerous adjunct lecturers, and student and research assistants. Five administrative staff members ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
A joint executive board oversees the affairs of the German Department. The chairmanship rotates annually between the Literature section and the Linguistics section.
