The European Union’s LLP/ERASMUS+ program offers an opportunity to study abroad, with the aim of promoting cooperation among European universities. Applicants must have successfully completed at least two semesters of their studies to be eligible to apply for funding from the ERASMUS program.
In addition to a mobility grant, the ERASMUS program covers tuition fees abroad and ensures that academic credits earned there are largely transferred and recognized.
Placement in the German Department is determined during the winter semester. This means that you should inquire about the application process at the beginning of a winter semester if you are planning a stay during the winter semester of the following year or the subsequent summer semester.
Application
Please apply for an Erasmus scholarship by submitting a letter of motivation by December 31 of each year. We recommend that you list a second and third choice in addition to your first-choice university. Please include a brief résumé, your transcript (with GPA), and, if applicable, your exam certificates. Please also specify the semester you wish to spend abroad and your email address. Please send your application materials via E-Mail at Exchange Partners of the German Department.
