Starting Your Studies at the German Department

Before student life really gets underway with seminars and lectures, all new students face a whole host of challenges in the new world of university. How do I register for a course? What do I actually need to take? What are examination regulations?

It is precisely these questions that we address during the induction week, during which, alongside the current management of the German Department, all sorts of people will introduce themselves who are well versed in all matters relating to your studies: the subject advisors, for example, the student advisory service, and the German and Drama Student Council.

Together with the student advisory service, the student council and many fellow students, new students are then offered timetable advice based on their first and second subjects, followed by a barbecue and a treasure hunt to get to know the most important locations at Leibniz University.
