Exploring Career Paths: Work Experience Placement and Internships

The work-related internship takes place as part of the interdisciplinary Bachelor’s programme over a period of four or eight weeks and must be undertaken in a professional field relevant to the course.

This gives students an insight into the world of work and enables them to better assess their career aspirations. The placement must primarily involve tasks that are relevant or necessary for the study of German.

Note

The assessment of reports on the work placement outside school usually takes 4–6 weeks. Please refrain from making enquiries about the assessment before this period has elapsed, and take this timeframe into account when considering any deadlines you may need to meet (such as applications for a Master’s degree).
